Since our launch in August 2013, FishinJersey.com and our advertisers have kept the prizes coming on our web site and Facebook page. FishinJersey.com is committed to not only being your premier New Jersey resource for "Fishin' Jersey", but we are just as committed to being New Jersey's BEST site for FREE giveaways and NO ENTRY FEE Fishing Tournaments. We kicked off our 2013 FishinJersey.com promotions (along with our web site) when we began our Facebook page FREE Tee-Shirt Giveaway. We gave away a slew of shirts during that promotion which continued until the end of the year. We also gave away a Black Label Plug and a bunch of shirts in drawings for the visitors of our booths at the Ocean County Decoy and Gunning Show which ran on Saturday, September 28, 2013 and Sunday, September 29, 2013. It was great to share the personal interaction and we enjoyed the interest that so many of you shared at our display. Here's some of the good stuff that's been happening:

FISHINJERSEY.COM BLACK LABEL PLUGS GIVEAWAYS

Our "Black Label Plug" FREE Giveaway started back in October and continued throughout the month of November. FishinJersey.com entrants were awarded plugs during every week in those months and featured outstanding, wooden, handmade striper plugs valued at hundreds of dollars. Our winners were announced in an earlier feature article back in December.

FISHINJERSEY.COM BIG BASS & BLUES TOURNAMENT

The end of November also marked the end of the First Annual "FishinJersey.com Big Bass & Bluefish Tournament". Unfortunately, much of the striper fishing did not really take off until the end of the month in November and many anglers seemed unaware of our tournament. We will be dedicating a lot more time in promoting our first tournament of 2014, the "FishinJersey.com Spring Challenge". Stay tuned for more information and watch our site for the ads that will be promoting this NO-COST, FREE FISHING TOURNAMENT. As with our Fall Tournament, anglers simply weigh in a fish at one of our Official FishinJersey.com Weigh-in stations and fill out an entry form. That's it! No fuss...no bother...and you could win a FREE rod and reel combo courtesy of FishinJersey.com!

 

Due to the low number of entrants, only one prize was awarded and that was in the "Largest Striped Bass" category. Taking the top prize was Fred Kolkhorst, of Waretown, New Jersey. Fred's 17 lb. 3 oz. linesider was weighed in at Creekside Outfitters in Waretown. Fred received a 10' Tsunami Surf Rod & Reel Combo for his winning fish...at NO COST!

We want to thank the owners and staff of our Official Weigh Stations at Absecon Bay Sportsman Center, Absecon; Creekside Outfitters, Waretown;  The Dock Outfitters, Seaside Heights;  FishBonz Bait & Tackle, Forked River; and Murphy's Hook House, Toms River for helping us run the tournament.

FISHINJERSEY.COM HOLIDAY GOODIES GIVEAWAY

Visitors to our site during the month of December were encouraged to enter our "Holiday Goodies" FREE Giveaway. The "Goodie Bag" included a "FishinJersey.com" Screen-Printed Tee Shirt, "FishinJersey.com" embroidered fishing cap, "FishinJersey.com" Screen-Printed ceramic coffee mug, "FishinJersey.com" Screen-Printed Beach Tote and also included a Hand-Made Custom Plug from Black Label Plugs in Lanoka Harbor. Site visitors simply clicked on one of the ads and then filled out the online entry form to enter. There was no cost to enter the FREE giveaway.

The drawing winner of the FishinJersey.com Prize Package was Steve Hippe, of Barnegat, New Jersey. Steve is captain of "Miss Arlene" Charters. Steve's entry was selected from the 29 entrants in the Holiday contest. Only 29 entries!! The odds are pretty good that YOU could be one of our next prize winners by simply visiting the site at www.fishinjersey.com and just filling out one of the entry forms!

WINTER WARM-UP FREE MUG GIVEAWAY

Our promotion for January was the "Winter Warm-Up" FREE Mug Giveaway. FishinJersey.com wants New Jersey anglers to proudly display the FishinJersey logo when they drink their morning beverage on these cold winter mornings. Our winners may also be showing  off their FishinJersey.com colors by bringing their mug to work...(their fishing friends are definitely jealous!)
